Pricing a website should be easy, but it’s not. There are just too many variables that can come into play. The good news is that a website is still a website and certain things are going to be somewhat universal.

Every website I build starts with a list of standard features and pages that are most common among the clients I have worked with. There is a price range for that set of features and pages.

There is no way for me to know where your project falls in that range without understanding your needs and the technology, time, and effort required to produce it.

Consider web design pricing similar to buying a car.

On the low end (base model) you have a functional, reliable automobile that will do everything you need it to do. However, rather than rolling up the window manually you want a button to push, instead of a stick shift you want automatic transmission, instead of cloth seats you want leather, you need a backup camera, seat heaters, 3rd row seating, navigation, you get the point.

Each additional feature adds to the price of the base model. That’s how I work. There is a basic set of features included and you can add on whatever else you need or desire.
